Here we are!!! And here we go!!!!
First post on my new blog... don't know if I'll manage to make it work properly...
I feel a bit lonely, Luca's gone to Milan for the week and I know it'll be hard to get used to it. So I thought I could share my feelings with all my friends around the world and maybe make new ones!!!
Ecco il primo post del blog! Benvenuti! L'idea mi è venuta perchè mi sentivo un po' sola con Luca lontano e così... e visto che non sono molto precisa/brava a tenermi in contatto con gli amici, provo a farlo così, vedremo se funziona!!!!
Libro del giorno: Oceano Mare di Baricco. Vorrei sapere da chi l'ha letto che ne pensa... io sono rimasta un po' delusa. E' il primo e unico libro di Baricco che ho letto e...mmhh...

Hmm, di Baricco ho letto le due raccolte di articoli per (non mi ricordo che giornale) e mi sono piaciute abbastanza. Niente di trascendentale, ma piacevoli e a volte interessanti. Oceano Mare non mi ha mai ispirato, credo pero' sia piaciuto a mia sorella.
Invece ho appena finito Thud! di Terry Pratchett.

Hmm, no, non e' proprio nello stesso stine, non c'e' Neil Gaiman! Di suo io consiglio American Gods a proposito.
E' piu' buffo, a volte del tutto ridicolo, e ci sono diversi inside jokes rispetto ai romanzi precedenti - ma si gusta anche senza conoscerli ovviamente. Se vuoi iniziare con Pratchett consiglio Night Watch, Mort (slegato dagli altri ma divertentissimo) o il primo, The Colour of Magic (divertente, piu' una serie di episodi che un romanzo). Con Guards! Guards! il suo "mondo" comincia a costruirsi davvero, quindi magari puoi cominciare anche da quello... o fare a caso! :-D

Anna had remarked she didn't appreciate Oceano Mare by Baricco (an Italian writer, clearly) and I followed on mentioning that I have just finished reading Thud! by Terry Pratchett, comparing it with Good Omens by the same T. Pratchett with Neil Gaiman (not on the same level, more "haha funny" but still with some more thought-provoking moments) and suggesting her to start to read Pratchett - if she wants to of course - not with Thud! but with The Colour of Magic, Mort, Night Watch or Guards! Guards! :-)

Hi Marco, Thank you so much for the translation. Umm... Now I really want to learn Italian, which I found very difficult compared to English, the most simple language! Anyway, thank you!
Well, Noriko... yes, Italian is more complicated than English (well, anything is) and furthermore it's not such a major language (you know, one of those you "need to know"), but - if I can vent my opinion even being an Italian and thus partial - it's a beautiful language, and with some AMAZING literature. OK, most of it can be read in translation, but as you probably know anything translated loses some edge... ;-)
