la nebbia e i suoi effetti

The effects of the mist on our rosemary... I love the fog. It's like you are living in the usual world, but at the same time it's another one. One step away from you, you could step on the unexpected... and not always dog's poo!
And the silence... oh my god, I love it.

Sgabei????

2 Years!

After 2 years with us, our lovely Batman!
We have been on holiday for a week, we had a great (relaxing and stress-free) time in Marsa Alam, and now we are back to work! Well, Luca is, I am at home recovering from my tonsillectomy, my goodness, it is very painful, but hopefully after this I won't be having my montlhy throat infections! Fingers crossed at least!
Summer was very busy at work, we had a good season at the campsite, but there is still loads to do to improve all the services and make our guests even happier. With winter I will have more time for cooking, so I'll start again posting the results!

London!

Spring in London is something one has to experience at least once in a lifetime... flowers, ducklings, sudden rains, beautiful blue skies... let's start with flowers then! This was taken at Hampton Court!!!

Sudden rain in crowded Portobello road...

And blue skies in the city!

My garden Sakura

Here is our personal garden Sakura! Ok Noriko, nothing compared to the Japanese one and plus it's a plum tree, not a cherry one, but still we do enjoy it!

So, maybe Spring IS finally coming! We've had a very long Winter this year in Italy and the weather is still kind of wet, but getting warmer at last... We spent the morning planting some geraniums, carnations and daisies on our balcony, Luca was not much use, mum was helping me, really, but he was quite interested in the overall impression, I must admit... I am quite happy having healty plants, he wants them to be arranged colours and shapes wisely... V. ARTISTIC!

biscuits part 2!

Tarà! Orange and lemon flavoured, they were easy to do, but again, recipe totally wrong! I had to double the flour and they were supposed to stay 10 minutes at 190°C!!!! Definately too much heat, so I sticked to 150°C and they came out perfect!

biscuits!

How come I cannot publish another picture on the same post?
Well, anyway, this was the first try with the 2-colours rings... As for the recipe they needed to stay 20 minutes in the oven at 180°C... of course they got burnt! So, these were in the oven for 10 minutes at 150°C! Much better!
