You're right, it's frightening when so many people from the most powerful nation in the world, presumably picked at random, don't know what I'd consider fundamental things like "who won the Vietnam war". Mind you, I can sympathise with the guy who thinks invading France is a good idea. And as for the location of Korea? I don't think the Aussies would be very impressed :)
