Completely NOT blog related, this one. They're building a new housing development near us and it's called 'mezzo'. As a musician, I would say mezzo means 'half' or 'quite' as in mf = mezzo forte = half loud or quite loud. Would you say that's a reasonable interpretation?
Mezzo means half, you are right. But when used in the expression:"in Mezzo" it means "in the middle", which I think could be more related to a housing development... Doesn't sound that good, though... it gives the idea it is stucked in the middle of other buildings or developments...
Interesting. It's actually being built at a place called Halfway, so I think it's a property developers way of trying to spice up what would otherwise be a rather mundane development :-)
