Am having a long night at work and listening to Ligabue on You Tube. Balliamo sul mondo, at the moment, Urlando contro il cielo, previously. Amazing how somebody so important (musically speaking) in Italy is totally unknown out of the borders.

But I bet is the same for any no english speaking band or singer...

...and I bet it's the same across Europe. If you're singing in english you could break the US market, but they're a pretty parochial lot over there. I suppose opera is the exception.
